i Scream is a new boutique ice cream cafe located at Block 89 in Bedok North, a short walking distance from the popular foodie haunt, Bedok North Market & Food Centre at Block 85.
For location, I think this is perfect place for a dessert cafe. Usually after a hearty meal at the food centre, people may want to just hang out and chill – i Scream will cater well for such crowds.
There are a number of other similar cafes in the same location, but in terms of decor, i Scream stands out with its pop-inspired lightbulb signboard and a chic decorative scooter on the outside:

Signature include their Korean Bingsu, liken to our local ice kachang, but with more premium ingredients, topped on a layer of shaved ice:

Alcohol lovers will be delighted with the variety of liquer-infused concoctions available. For S$1, you can also choose to infuse your choice of liquor into any scoop of ice cream you order:
To offer better value to customers, i Scream employs a pay-as-you-weigh concept at 3.5 cent per gram of ice cream (with a minimum order of 100g).

Overall, I am pretty impressed by the presentation, concept and cafe ambient. Macarons go very well with ice cream – I love their Soogle concept. Prices are reasonable too. The only drawback I felt was that there was no strong, stand-out ice cream flavour among those I sampled. However, given that the cafe is new and new flavours and specials will be added regularly, signature flavours and crowd favourites should evolve.

It is a nice place to chill and I it is now in my address book as a hangout location when meeting friends who live on the east side of Singapore.
